Year One

Year one.

Last Thanksgiving, Scottsdale finally got the public turkey trot it never had.

Not a borrowed Phoenix race. Not a gated-community jog. A real starting line in our city, built by the communities that already run and recover here every week.

Scottsdale Run Club, Phoenix Run Club, Black AZ Run, and Revival Wellness put it together because they wanted a Thanksgiving morning worth getting up for — a 5K people could walk, jog, or race, and a finish line that felt like a festival instead of a folding table and a banana.

1,230 people raced
1,500+ at the morning

Chip-timed course. Live energy at the finish. Sauna, cold plunge, music, food, vendors. People stayed. That was the tell. The race was fun. The morning was the thing nobody wanted to leave.

So we’re doing it again.

Same four communities. A prettier course through Scottsdale with Camelback in view. A bigger finish. Year two.

Come back. Or come for the first time. This is the one Arizona can look forward to every Thanksgiving.
